Yan Liu: earned her Master of Chemistry from the University of Auckland with First-Class Honors. She is currently dedicated to understanding and designing catalysts for various electrochemical reactions using Density Functional Theory(DFT) simulations. Her research involves performing DFT calculations of heterogeneous catalytic reactions, focusing on screening and designing catalysts, including metals, oxides, and two-dimensional materials. The research comprehensively covers reaction mechanisms, catalytic activity, structure-activity relationships, and activity regulation. By combining experimental results with DFT calculations, Yan systematically explores critical electrochemical reactions (e.g., HER, OER, ORR, CO2RR, NO3RR, and HMFOR). Yan joined the Dr. Wang’s group in February 2023. Congratulations her Ph.D. journal to National University of Singapore.
